- Prayers for
- holiness, strength, deliverance from evil, a happy death, perseverance
Albrecht Dürer, Sudarium Displayed by Two Angels, 1513. Cleveland Museum of Art.
(To be said aloud after the Priest by all the Soldiers.)
Devout Prayer of St. Ignatius.
Soul of CHRIST, sanctify me,
Body of CHRIST, save us,
Blood of CHRIST, inebriate me,
Water from the Side of CHRIST, wash me,
Passion of CHRIST, strengthen me;
O Good JESUS, hear me;
Hide me within Thy Wounds;
Suffer me never to be separated from Thee;
From the wicked enemy defend me;
In the Hour of my Death, call me,
And bid me come unto Thee;
That with Thy Saints I may praise Thee,
For ever and ever. Amen.
