Archbishoprick of New York.

218 MADISON AVE., NEW YORK,
Sept. 6th, 1878.

Dear Father O’reilly.

I am much pleased with your new work entitled “True Men as We Need Them.”

It is full of instructive lessons and wise counsels presented in an attractive form and adapted to various classes of men as we find them around us in the world.

I hope it will receive a wide circulation and be productive of much good. I need not add that it has my cordial commendation.

Please accept my best wishes for your health and happiness, and believe me to remain,

Very sincerely your friend and servant,

John Card. McCloskey,

Archbishop of New York.

REV. B. O’REILLY.
