The Commandments of God.
- I am the Lord thy God; thou shalt not have strange gods before Me.
- Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
- Remember that thou keep holy the Sabbath day.
- Honor thy father and thy mother.
- Thou shalt not kill.
- Thou shalt not commit adultery.
- Thou shalt not steal.
- Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
- Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife.
- Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s goods.
The Commandments of the Church.

To hear Mass on Sundays, and all holydays of obligation.

To fast and abstain on the days commanded.

To confess our sins at least once a year.

To receive worthily the blessed Eucharist at Easter, or within the time appointed.

To contribute to the support of our pastors.

Not to solemnize marriage at the forbidden times, nor to marry persons within the forbidden degrees of kindred, or otherwise prohibited by the church, nor clandestinely.
