Every Day

1. Begin and end each day with prayer, or say some prayers some time during the day.

2. Endeavor to spend at least a few moments each day in serious spiritual reflection, preferably with the aid of devout reading, if only a sentence or two.

3. Be faithful to all daily duties, in or out of the home.

4. If convenient, hear Mass each day and make a daily visit to the Blessed Sacrament.

Every Week

5. If you cannot hear Mass on a Sunday, make up for it by reading the Mass prayers from your prayer book, and hear a Mass some day during the week.

Every Month

6. Have the practice of going to Confession and Communion, at least every month, preferably with some Church society.

Every Year

7. Set aside a few days of your time each year to attend a layman’s retreat; and always make the mission with your parish.

Often

8. Make it a practice frequently to deny yourself some luxury, and to give to the poor and to religious causes according to your means.

Always

9. Avoid at all times talk and conversations that are indecent or uncharitable.

10. Shun all company, visits, amusements and reading that tend to waste, or are dangerous to morals.
