Salve Regina
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
V. Pray for us, O Queen of the most holy Rosary.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us Pray
O God, whose only-begotten Son, by His life, death and Resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech Thee, that, meditating on these mysteries in the most holy rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain, and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord.
The Second Part of the Most Holy Rosary
The Five Sorrowful Mysteries
1. The Prayer and Bloody Sweat of our Blessed Saviour in the Garden

2. The Scourging of Jesus at the Pillar
Let us scourge ourselves by the mortification of our passions. Our Father, etc.
3. The Crowning of Jesus with Thorns
The mockery suffered by Our Lord teaches that we should seek the approval of God rather than that of man. Our Father, etc.
4. Jesus Carries His Cross
If we would be disciples of Christ, let us take up our cross and follow Him, by imitating His patience in time of trial. Our Father, etc.
5. The Crucifixion
Our Lord’s prayer for His executioners is an example of forgiveness of injuries. Our Father, etc. Salve Regina, etc. (as before).
The Third Part of the Most Holy Rosary
The Five Glorious Mysteries
1. The Resurrection
Let us be steadfast in the profession and practice of our faith, of which the Resurrection is the foundation. Our Father, etc.
